Relocation

As may have been noticed, there has been very little activity in the past 2 years, which is for a very common problem – constant cloud cover.

It is unfortunately one of the issues living in the tropics that there is very regularly long periods of constant cloud cover and it seems Jakarta is the worst culprit for this. Add in smog and bad light pollution and the opportunities for astro imaging have been next to nil for the past two years.

It has finally gotten to the point that enough is enough ! Hence I have uprooted the family from the comfortable Jakarta existance and shipped the whole kit and kaboodle back to Perth, Wesstern Australia.

This mastermind of a move has not yet paid dividends in the Astrophotography stakes as to maximise the benefits of the relocation we have also decided to move the base of operations to the even less LP afflicted regions of the Perth Hills, meaning that all the astro gear is still currently in storage until the move is finalised.

However, come 2020, there will be a massive pay off in terms of improved sky conditions including reduced LP and many more nights of clear skies … as well as the opportunity to install a home observatory … roll on 2020 !!
