M16 8th July

Well it seems that I am cursed to never be able to complete a sequence of frames. Last night, on what has been only the 3rd night so far this year that promised to be clear, I was lured into setting up and attempt my first capture of M16, the famed Eagle nebula.  Assemble, balance, focus, align and frame my target to start taking the first frame …. and in rolled the clouds. So once again I only have a single cloud effected frame to play with. Between the constant cloud cover and light pollution it would seems that Jakarta is just about the worst place on the planet to try and do astrophotography – what I wouldn’t give for a decent clear night to get a decent set of data ! (The first born is treading on thin ice at the moment ….. )
