NGC3576 – Statue Of Liberty Nebula
Imaged through the start of march 2023, This is my first take on NGC3579 – The Statue of Liberty nebula.
Appearing to be located in the constellation of Carina, NGC3576 is a bright emission nebula located in the Sagittarius arm of the Milky Way a few thousand light years away from the Carina Nebula .
Discovered in 1834 by Frederick William Herschel, the main nebula region is currently nicknamed “The Statue Of Liberty Nebula” which was first suggested by Dr Steve Mazlin in 2009 due to the distinctive shape.
