A second imaging attempt at Omega Centauri
Omega Centauri, or NGC 5139, is the largest known globular cluster in the Milky Way with a diameter estimated at 150 ly and current estimates have it containing approximately 10 million stars equivalent to 4 million solar masses. It is located at a distance of 15,800 ly in the Centauraus constellation, noted by Ptolemy as a star on the horses back.
